Development Experiences

• November 7^th – 18^th, 2010
  In order to create a space for personal leadership development , cross cultural learning, mutual learning ,working on real life projects and taking local organisation to the next level, Better Future India organised the Development experience with 4 managers from the Netherlands and 8 community leaders from India.

• 
  During the 10 day program, the participants worked in local communities together with development professionals and community leaders. Small Indian- European teams worked to find sustainable solutions on three real life projects

  
  

  1) creating economic opportunities for Self Help Group women at the base of the pyramid
  2) Staff capacity building at APSA
  3) Branding and marketing of APSA

  The program consisted of three basic components. The first was to work on the leadership development of the participants by reflecting and connecting to their source of energy and finding their mantra in life. Secondly, to work on local ‘real-life projects’ impacting the lives of many children. Thirdly, with the help of professional coaches, participants developed their role as leaders. And finally, by engaging with other stakeholders, everyone in the program learned from each other and gaining inspiration.
