ING Leaders Beyond Borders

• In order to create a customer driven organisation that is fully integrated in society, to have leaders with compassion, empathy and energy for renewal and taking it as a personal mission to serve customers & society, ING Group entrusted Better Future to design and execute the Leaders Beyond Borders program. 

  
  

   “Be the change you want to see in this world” (Gandhi) 

  The Leaders Beyond Borders program was designed to move and inspire leaders to genuinely make a difference at all levels: as a leader in their personal life, as a leader at ING Group and as a citizen of the world.  
   

• The leadership development elements of the program were combined with contributing to local communities and organisations. During a unique and intense week in and around Bangalore (8-16 May 2010), 8 global CEO’s of ING worked together with talented ‘change makers’ in society – Makkala Jagriti and Sukrupa. These local organisations are partner organisations of ING Vysya (Foundation) and their activities are aligned with ING's global Chances for Children program.

   

• The program consisted of three basic components. The first was to work together on local ‘real-life projects’ impacting the lives of many children. Secondly, with the help of professional coaches, participants developed their role as leaders. Finally, by engaging with other stakeholders, all involved learned from each other and got inspired.
