WE Signs Intent to Partner

• May 7th 2010 - WE, an international fashion firm based in The Netherlands, recently signed an intent-to-partner agreement with the Partnership Foundation, a Dutch NGO working to improve the lives of street children in India. Better Future advised WE on their CSR strategy (fashion & education) and in the course of this process brought the two parties together.
   

  The partnership is part of WE Care, a program to take responsibility for the environmental and social implications of producing clothing in developing countries. Since many of WE's products are produced in India, WE decided to sponsor a Rainbow Home in Tirupur, near one of WE's production locations. Rainbow Homes are shelters for street kids that provide safe haven, health care, education and perspective for the future.
  
   

  With the help of companies such as WE, the Partnership Foundation can get closer to achieving its goal: to provide 10.000 street children (girls) in India with accommodation, healthy food, proper clothing, medical care, education, recreation and reintegration into mainstream society via a replicable formula.
   

  Meanwhile WE is researching the plan to actively involve its employees in this project. Better Future congratulates both WE and the Partnership Foundation on their achievements and hopes to see the doors of Rainbow Home Tirupur open soon.
